Current Projects
- Started work on Lichfield Dry Cleaners Site
Not much on this site at the moment, and there hopefully won't need to be much more added! Wordpress is a perfect system for sites that only require a couple of pages of content.
- Burntwood MOT Centre almost finished
Just about finished work on the site for Burntwood MOT Centre, adding the custom header with rotating images that are hyperlinked took some work, but I'm pretty pleased with the results.
- New Acquisition's
Secured a couple more clients, one requiring an update to an outdated and very basic looking website, and one requiring a new website from scratch that requires an included database of thousands of client details. Might have to work this weekend. :)
- Search Engine Optimisation
A request from various clients to ensure keywords related to their business ensure 'Page 1' results from search engines.
This is a continuous ongoing strategy due to the fact that search engines periodically change their algorithms on how search terms are delivered.
- Back-end Secure Log-in Software:
I'm currently working on implementing purchase order/invoice software for a manufacturing company website.
This software sits on a MySQL Database and lets customers and billers log in to a back-end system separate from the main website to keep track of account details.
This system allows the website admin to make any overall changes and only allows its customers/billers read only access to their information in that they can only see their details with a username and password, all other information is locked out.
The software allows inputting of purchase orders and invoices as well as being able to host drawings and product details via standard image extensions such as .jpeg/.bmp but also allows detailed technical drawings to be uploaded/downloaded using the .pdf format.
The user can view their information and download/email documents with ease and is a current requirement from a customer that this secure system is in place.
- Updating an HTML Website to a Content Management System:
I'm also working on converting a static HTML website to the Joomla! Content Management System in order to add more features to the website, as well as making it much easier to maintain.
Now site visitors can log in to view information dedicated to them and also features a search system, as well as an image gallery of their products featuring details such as pricing and technical drawings etc.
